I am always bothered by the amount of packaging waste there is when I order clothing online. It seems like each shirt or pair of pants is wrapped in plastic and reinforced with cardboard. For some reason I always thought purchasing clothing at a retail store was less environmentally wasteful. My wife shattered that impression for me when she explained that clothing arrives at the retail stores in the exact same packaging – the store just removes it, puts it on a shelf, and puts it in another wasteful bag when you purchase it.
